If you put a good CAT in the system, it'll make the car a lot quieter. The stock Thermal tip also causes a lot of in-car noise with it's curved edges allowing the sound to curve back relatively easily. A tip with straight edges will help a lot.

YEAH, I called the import-shop in Vienna and they told me there is a JETEX resonator with 3" fiting, 125mm diameter and 250mm or 625mm long.

rjaffey, hey thanks for the info. I never knew that they had those louvers. But, I'll keep that in mind. I'm probably gonna keep mine in though, cause it keeps my wife happy and I really like the sound. Besides, for now my Sol is NA. Maybe in a year or so when I go SC I'll re-evaluate. Anyhow, any other info or drawbacks to the glasspacks that I should know about?

The peeps at REMUS told me that even when I put resonnators and a high flow cat into the 3" pipe it will be also very loud, too loud for street! Only rally cars use the large 3" diameter exhausts.

Damn this post is scaring me... My 3" Thermal should arrive today or tommorow. The Kamikazee is already on. My biggest fear is how loud and annoying it will be.

Yeah, I'll attest to that! I've also got a 94 Civic EX Coupe w/Greddy Turbo. The big difference for me was all of the noise the turbo cancels out when I'm NOT running the car hard. AND, when I am driving the car hard the whoossinng sound is actually calming...
